Bangkok City Tour: first visiting Grand Palace then continue to visit Wat Arun, perhaps better known as the Temple of the Dawn, is one of the best known landmarks and one of the most published images of Bangkok. After that, visit to Wat Po, the largest and oldest temple in Bangkok, as well as the largest single Buddha image, Chophaya River. Lunch at local restaurants/Jim Thomson House/ Dinner On Cruise.

Today we visit the Reunification Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Sai Gon Post Office and Ben Thanh market. In the afternoon continue to visit this dynamic city including the China town with Thien Hau pagoda and Binh Tay wholesale market where we have 30 minutes free time for shopping. Then visit a lacquerware factory and Vinh Nghiem pagoda. Late afternoon stroll down the fashionable Rue Catinat of old Saigon.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

This morning we drive to Cao Dai Temples in Tay Ninh to observe the midday service. Tay Ninh, near the Cambodian border, is home to the unique Cao Dai sect, whose patron saints include Joan of Arc, Victor Hugo and Winston Churchill to name a few. The religion is a hybrid of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and Christianity. The interior is just as engaging as statues of Jesus Christ, Buddha and the Hindu god, Brahma, stand side by side.

The trip to Tay Ninh is combined with a visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels. At its height, the tunnel system stretched over 250km. from Saigon to the Cambodian border and was three levels deep. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens.

Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life during the U.S.-Vietnam War must have been like. Overnight in HCMC.

Journey to My Tho (65 km). Upon arrival we take a boat trip visiting the fish wharf, the 4 famous islands of Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle and Phoenix. Take a short tour by “xe loi” (motorized rickshaw) to the bank of Mekong River visiting a rice farm, candy workshop and honey bee farm, then journey by small sampan through the canals and mangrove forests where we watch the fishermen lay their fish traps. Enjoy time on the Unicorn Island visiting the fruit orchards, taste diverse types of tropical fruits, tea mixed with bee’s honey. Experience a wonderful show of Mekong Delta’s traditional music and songs.

Afternoon drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Flight to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia Kingdom. Despite its recent turbulent history, it still maintains considerable charm. A city tour acquaints us with some major sights of Phnom Penh. The private quarters of the Royal Palace are now home to the royal family and are therefore very close to the public. At the northern area of the palace grounds is Silver Pagoda, the most sacred shrine in the country. We visit both structures as well as the legendary temple of Wat Phnom, which provides an interesting view over the environs. The next stop of our trip is the National Museum, exclusively dedicated to Khmer art and sculpture. The majority of the exhibits are from the Angkor period from 9th to 15th centuries, but some date from as early as the 4th century. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Breakfast at hotel – transfer to the airport for flight to Siemreap, on arrival your will be met and then transferred direct to hotel for refreshment.

This afternoon, visit the most famous of all the temples on the Angkor plain: Angkor Wat. The temple complex, cover 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat’s five towers symbolize Meru’s five peaks, the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat symbolizes the ocean. Breakfast at hotel – Continue your visit to the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man’s creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature.  We explore this masterpiece as well as some of the surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevado. Visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century); See the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk), Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. An early morning – we drive 35 km out of town to visit the famous Banteay Srei (Citadel of Women), we drive back to the sought by visit to Bakong Temple one of among Rolous Group before continue your last trip to Kompong Phluk, one of natural tourisms and a mangroves for hundreds species of fresh water fishes and birds and decorated with ethnic stilted houses line over the water surface up to the air. The villages are primarily Khmer and have about 3000 inhabitants between them, most of who live in stilted houses. Return to Siem Reap for transferring to Siem Reap airport for flight to Luangprabang.

On arrival, transfer to hotel, stroll around the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of textiles made by the local and the hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.

After breakfast, visit the city’s oldest temple of impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrines of Wat Aham, Wat Mai, Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. On our way back, we pass the local villages at Ban Xiengmene and Ban Chan continue to see the royal temple at Wat Longkhoun, which once belonged to a royal family patronage nearby Sackarine Caves. We cross to city and take a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village well known for its hand weaving. We then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as viewing a beautiful and panoramic sunset over the ancient and once royal city and the Mekong River. After breakfast, participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents, visit The National Museum (close Tuesday) at the former Royal Palace, then visit the silver smith’s and Fine Arts School and the Central Market, which is not to be missed.

Leave Luangprabang for flight to Vientiane – the capital of Laos, transfer to the hotel. After a short rest, strolling around some of the city’s most historical sites and seeing some of the French colonial architecture, see sunset by the Mekong Riverside until the late evening and experience the city lifestyle of the local Lao people.

After breakfast, visit the major sights of the capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we will stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph, visit the central market known as the ‘Morning Market’ which is a great place for browsing antiques, handmade textiles and gifts, visiting the National Museum (closed on Tuesday) former name Revolutionary Museum then board our short flight to the Luang Prabang, which is perhaps the best – preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. Transfer to the airport for departure flight to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. You will be met and transfer to hotel for check in. Free at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

After breakfast at hotel, enjoy a morning city tour to some of the city’s attractions including the fascinating Ho Chi Minh mausoleum (close on Monday & Friday), Quan Thanh pagoda on the shores of Truc Bach lake. This pagoda dates from the 11th century and is said to protect this region from outside invaders. Continue to visit the temple of Literature, which is regarded as the first university in Viet Nam. Next, proceed to visit Ngoc Son temple in the centre of modern Hanoi. Driver through Hanoi old quarter, you will have time for shopping at Dong Xuan market. After that, we shall proceed to Ha Long Bay, one of Vietnam’s greatest natural wonders and was recognized as World’s Natural Heritage by UNESCO in 2000. Overnight in Ha Long bay.

After breakfast at hotel, take a 4-hour cruise on the emerald green waters of Halong among the 3,000 spectacular limestone Islands, visit grottoes and floating village. The cruise ends with a fresh seafood lunch on board. Back to Hanoi after lunch time, enjoy Vietnam famous and unique water puppet performance, a unique and famous traditional performance.
