Siemreap serves as the gateway to the millennium old ruins of Angkor – the Angkorian-era Khmer Empire. Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast – Asia. Phnom Penh is the vibrant bustling capital of Cambodia. Phnom Penh is also the gateway to an exotic land – the world heritage site, the largest religious complex in the world.
Upon arrival at Siem Reap Airport, you will be met and transferred direct to your hotel. Start your visit to Angkor National Museum and then drive to the South Gate of Angkor Thom which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King & Ta Prohm. Overnight at hotel.
Breakfast at hotel, We continue to the architectural masterpiece of Angkor Wat. We stroll around this massive monument, exploring the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple.
Afternoon, we drive out (35 km) and visit the famous BanteaySrei (Citadel of Women). On the way back stop at Pradark Village, where you will see the villagers making palm sugar, handicraft for selling to tourist. It’s a nice chance for you to see the local people living at the country side with their struggling for daily life. Overnight at hotel
Breakfast at hotel – We drive to visit Mechrey Natural Tourism, located 15km at south west of Siem Reap province. You will have chance to explore a real Cambodian life style with beautiful picture squares along the way. Enjoy Ox cart riding about 20-30 minutes. Then switch to take boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake to discover the floating villages, schools, pagoda and flooded forests and bird watching (this area is about 6km from bird Sanctuary at PreakToal). Free & leisure at your own time for rolling at local markets or shopping until transfer to Siem Reap Airport for departure.
